In this episode five Lauren explores fear. Lauren uses the story of the rabbit caught in the head lights of the oncoming car as a metaphor for how we can become handicapped by our own fear, grief , and loss. Sometimes we may be frozen with disbelief and hurt. Experiences, relationships and events may act like 'the headlights' holding the 'rabbit' in us back from our own personal growth. At times our failure to act can be to our own detriment as new growth comes forth from the ashes of the fire. Lauren looks at when, how, and why to face our fears and the benefits of doing so. Life is short and all change comes with a level of fear. Development, wisdom, and opportunity are simply not possible without a level of fear and indeed change. As social creatures we like familiarity. We enjoy the 'same' yet moving forward and growth require by defintion that we face our fears head on. And how do we do this? One bite at a time
Lauren then presents a poweful meditation on facing fear.
